After an inaugural year that surpassed all expectations, Saint Francis Classical Catholic Academy is beginning our second school year with almost twice as many students and some big plans!
OUR FALL FESTIVAL AND WALKATHON
To help kick off the school year, SFCCA is hosting a Fall Festival and Walkathon in honor of our patron, Saint Francis of Assisi. The goal is to bring our community together for a day of fall fun and to help our newly founded Parent Auxiliary raise money to support programming for our students. The proceeds from this event will help fund:
Our growing theater program (including productions of A Christmas Carol and Oliver!)
An expansion of the school library's collection of non-fiction resources to support student research
Our field trip program (including trips to The Crayola Experience for our younger students and The Franklin Institute for our older students)
Special events such as our Christmas Concert and Spring Fine Arts Extravaganza
THE WAY OF SAINT FRANCIS (LA VIA DI FRANCESCO)
On the day of the Walkathon, we are challenging our students and their families to cover a distance similar to The Way of Saint Francis (La Via di Francesco). Many pilgrims walk this route that passes through areas that Saint Francis traveled (on foot!) during his lifetime. The route we are trying to match stretches from Florence to Rome and is approximately 320 miles long. We think our families are up to the challenge, and we are hoping that you will support their efforts!
HELP ALONG THE WAY
Would you like to pledge a nickel, dime, or more per mile to show your support for our students and families? Please click the "Donate to SFCCA" button to be taken to our online donation form.
We would be honored to pray for your special intentions! Our prayer warriors will pray for each intention individually in front of the Blessed Sacrament on the Feast of Saint Francis (October 4).
